Louisiana Shamanic Swamp Drums

Libby Cheramie, Greg Gasperecz play tambura drums. Freddie Stehle and Gary Druilhet play the Drummer Tree. Mike Perry, and Gary Arnold, are drummers in the shamantic tradition and their chosen selections tend to emphasize their repose. There are only four tracks on the sixty minute album, each strong, character-full, earth centered rhythms. The tracks are long enough to lay bare one's heart in the pursuit of trance and meditation. The album is beautifully crafted, engineered by Gary Druilhet at Windhorse studios. The drumming rhythms are immediate, genuine and generous. No sleepy interludes here, just good swamp drumming.
