A native of seacoast New Hampshire, Dr. Arnold now lives in Louisiana with three
Labrador Retrievers.
The first thing you notice as you walk into Windhorse
studio is a sign that reads, "Life's too short too sleep." He's up at 3:30 a.m.
each morning. That's when his "muse" wants to work (that's Gary's term for what
we'd probably call our voice of inspiration). And work it does! At 42 he has authored
several books, hundreds of articles, over 30 CD's and cassettes and over a dozen videos.
He's given over 1000 public talks in the last 20 years. For the last 8 years he has taught
a group of students in an ongoing weekly class on A Course In Miracles. He does
over 100 radio talk shows annually, and is on the road about 130 days a year public
speaking (his client list looks like a summary of the Fortune 500). His annual audience
approaches one million people.
Much of what he does is conceived, improvised,
written and recorded in his studio, one of the largest private studios in the New Orleans
area. The nerve center of Gary's studio, called Windhorse Corp. and Windhorse Music LLC,
is equipped with a six networked of Pentium 200 computers, with 12 Gbs. of hard
drive, 240 Mbs. RAM, 32 tracks of digital audio, and 256 tracks of midi. Room ambience is
aided by a wall of books that goes from floor to the top of the cathedral ceiling. The
look is a synthesis of inspiration and technology.
